My research focuses on understanding the structural and electronic properties of  materials at nanoscale. I mostly employ computational modeling and first-principles calculations to accomplish this task. How atoms behave at the quantum level help us to understand their properties and possible applications in future technologies.

Having a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Saudi Arabia, I work as a postdoc at Luleå University of Technology in Sweden. My academic journey reflects a strong interest in scientific research, teaching, and the use of computational methods to study complex material systems.

Research Focus

My research interests include theoretical and computational condensed matter physics and materials sciences, nanomaterials, and in particular, 2D systems.

My research approach combines theoretical understanding with computational techniques, allowing detailed investigation of atomic behavior, structure, and properties.
