Publication Alert: Topological Magneto-Optical Switching in Even-Layered MnBi2Te4

This work is now available to read on IOP 2D Materials website.

2D Materials is a flagship journal publishing quality research on 2D materials. We studied thin films of magnetic topological insulator MnBi2Te4 and demonstrate how relative spin alignments in constituent septuple layer together with film thickness can be useful to achieve higher-Chern-number states, alongside Chern and Axion insulating states, in this material. We proposed magneto-optical Faraday rotation can be used to confirm these effects, since the response is quantized.

I should acknowledge the hard work of my co-authors who did an amazing job and get it published in this journal.
